The theme song is sung at the beginning of every episode of the PBS animated preschool television series Dinosaur Train. is a simple country ballad about how the Pteranodon and T-rex families were born. It is stated to be sung by King Cryolophosurus in the background, with spoken words by Mrs. Pteranodon, Tiny, and Buddy in person. In the main series, it was performed by the series' creator, Craig Bartlett, and composed by Jim Lang.

The intro begins with a prehistoric railroad while appearing with the show's logo. Mrs. Pteranodon flying to the nest where the four eggs add. Three out of four, Tiny, Shiny, and Don, hatch. A baby T. rex, Buddy, hatches with a different size and his eye color. Mrs. Pteranodon grabs Buddy and flies with Tiny, Shiny and Don to the Pteranodon Station meeting all kinds of species. The family enters the titular train. The train rides and Mr. Conductor pulls the train whistle with a "choo-choo" sound. The intro ends with a large dinosaur named Laura Giganotosaurus, who pops out from underneath the observation car and eats the camera as the show's creator is credited inside her mouth as she roars.
